Why don’t you list a phone number?

To ensure enquiries are handled efficiently and accurately, we ask all new customers to use the contact form.

The form collects key details such as location, service type and photos, which allows us to properly assess the work required before responding.

This means we can provide clearer replies and manage enquiries much faster than would be possible via phone calls during busy periods.

We personally review every submission and aim to respond within 24 hours.

When do you start work for the season?

Our regular lawn care season typically begins around mid-March, depending on weather conditions and ground temperatures.

Services such as lawn mowing, seasonal lawn treatments, scarification and lawn renovations all rely heavily on suitable growing conditions and soil temperatures. Starting too early in the year can lead to poor results, which is why timing is important with professional lawn care.

That said, preparation work for scarification, lawn renovations and seasonal treatments can often begin earlier in the year depending on the condition of the lawn and the weather at the time.

Do you offer landscaping or general gardening services?

No – we do not carry out landscaping, fencing, patios, or general garden maintenance.

Emerald Green focuses on specialist lawn care and targeted outdoor services, including lawn treatment programmes, professional weed control, and hedge trimming.

We no longer offer routine gardening or ongoing maintenance, allowing us to focus on delivering high-quality results within our core services.

Do you work during the winter months?

Typically, lawn care treatments and regular mowing finish around late October to early November, depending on weather conditions and grass growth.

However, we do continue carrying out hedge trimming and hedge reductions throughout the winter months. In fact, winter is often one of the best times for hedge work, as most hedges are dormant and bird nesting season has ended, making it the ideal time for heavier reductions and reshaping.

Do you provide free quotes?

Yes. Quotes are provided free of charge following review of your enquiry and, where required, a site visit.
